Take part in The Jubilee Hour
Girlguiding is proudly supporting The Jubilee Hour, which
celebrates Her Majesty the Queen’s reign by encouraging people from
across the UK to spend 60 minutes volunteering.
We’ve pledged 538,247 hours, one for each Girlguiding member
and volunteer, because almost 100,000 volunteers already give over
90,000 hours each week to bring opportunity and adventure to nearly
half a million girls and young women.
As well as completing the hour we have promised on your behalf,
you can dedicate additional time by making a personal or group
promise of an hour - but please be aware that this extra time is
separate to the Girlguiding pledge. If you would
like to pledge extra hours, you can sign up on The Jubilee Hour
website. To get started, you need to create a profile on the
online ‘Book of Celebration’ and then pledge a Jubilee Hour, which
you can do as either as an individual/ family or
organisation/community. Please note that you should not register as
Girlguiding.
When you have chosen your good deed or volunteering action, you can
write about your activities on your profile, as well as upload
images or videos.
There are presently over 1,114,000 pledged hours. Why not get
involved? Your hour can be completed at any time during the Jubilee
year.
