Sheffield BIG GIG report

Little Mix at BIG GIGGirls from around the UK witnessed some top music acts at Girlguiding’s Big Gig 2012, which took place at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on 6 October.

Conor Maynard, JLS, Cover Amelia Lily at the BIG GIGDrive, Little Mix, Scouting For GirJLS at the BIG GIGls and a host of other special guests wowed the girl-only audience at the exclusive event for Guides aged 10 and above. The BIG GIG was hosted by popular TV presenters Ceallach Spellman and Richard Wisker.

Charlotte Dalton, 15, from Sunbury in Middlesex, said, ‘I had such an amazing time at the Big Gig 2012 in Sheffield, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done in guiding.

‘I’m so glad I got the chance to come along and see all these famous signers and groups and one of the reasons I love being in guiding is because you can come along to huge events like this, where it’s just the girls.’

The entire audience showed they were in fine voice too as they were led by Popchoir in a mass sing-a-long of the Miley Cyrus hit 'Make Some Noise’.

Girls travelled from across the UK to attend the event, which has become a firm favourite in the guiding calendar since it was established 12 years ago.
