Queen's Guide Award recipients
Congratulations to the Senior Section members who have been
presented with their Queen's Guide Awards this month. Open to
Girlguiding members aged 16 and over, it is the
highest award that you can achieve in guiding.
'Completing my Queen’s Guide has showed me
that I am capable of much more than I thought I was,' believes
Jemma Kemp, 22, from Norfolk.
Added Elizabeth Bradley, 20, from Caldicot,
Wales, 'The highlight of my Queen's Guide Award was probably my
residential trip to Mexico. I made lifelong friends on the
trip, and enjoyed experiences with them that I will never forget,
as well as experiencing and understanding a brand new culture.'
Chief Guide Gill Slocombe said, 'Over the years the
Queen's Guide Award has given many young women an amazing sense of
empowerment and confidence. I hope they will serve as an
inspiration to many more young women all over the country who are
thinking about getting involved in guiding.'
