Queen's Guide Award recipients

Queen's Guide collecting her awardCongratulations to the Senior Section members who have been presented with their Queen's Guide Awards this month. Open to Girlguiding members aged 16 and over, it is the highest award that you can achieve in guiding.

'Completing my Queen’s Guide has showed me that I am capable of much more than I thought I was,' believes Jemma Kemp, 22, from Norfolk.

Added Elizabeth Bradley, 20, from Caldicot, Wales, 'The highlight of my Queen's Guide Award was probably my residential trip to Mexico. I made lifelong friends on the trip, and enjoyed experiences with them that I will never forget, as well as experiencing and understanding a brand new culture.'

Queen's Guide AwardChief Guide Gill Slocombe said, 'Over the years the Queen's Guide Award has given many young women an amazing sense of empowerment and confidence. I hope they will serve as an inspiration to many more young women all over the country who are thinking about getting involved in guiding.'
