Girlguiding asked our followers on social media what they'd done recently, and received answers varying from a Division sleepover at the National Space Centre to planning County trips to Europe.

Here are some selected highlights:

  • 1st Stanstead Abbotts Brownies had a fun sleepover at the Science Museum in London, where they learned about electric currents whilst shooting a doll across the room.

  • 2nd Cumbernauld Senior Section and Bishopbriggs Senior Section took part in rock climbing and archery.

  • Girlguiding Sussex West represented Girlguiding London & South East England in the Lord Mayor's Show.

  • British Guides in Foreign Countries (BGIFC) had a training weekend in Dubai.

  • 7th Braintree Brownies had a World War II-themed, make-do-and-mend evening. The girls came as evacuees, stitched together an apron and made poppy prayer cards to read at their own Remembrance service.

  • 2nd Royal Crofton Park and 3rd Forest Hill St Georges Brownies had a Hawaiian-style weekend, where they had a Lau-au (traditional party), made volcanoes and marked Remembrance Day.

  • One Girlguiding member got married - and had Brownies, Guides and Rangers from her local area as bridesmaids. Many congratulations to the happy couple!

Many thanks to all of our members who joined the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
