Girlguiding partners with TalkTalk
Girlguiding has joined forces with TalkTalk to offer members of
our Brownie section the chance to help design what they think the
Brownie Computer badge of the future could look like.
TalkTalk are very excited about the future of the internet and
the opportunities it will bring and want to make sure that young
people know how to stay safe online.
One overall competition winner will be chosen, and she and her unit
will get to enjoy an exciting session teaching them about creating
and making their own computer games – whilst completing their
Brownie Computer badge using the new clauses. The winning
Brownie will also receive a brand-new Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.
To be in with a shot of winning, Brownies need to design a new look
for the badge using a computer, pens or paints.
information is available on the Brownies website. Entries must
be received by 26 May.
This is just one of the partnerships that helps Girlguiding to
offer girls and young women more opportunities. You

With more than half a million members, Girlguiding is the leading
charity for girls and young women in the UK. Thanks to the
dedication and support of 100,000 amazing volunteers, we are active
in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where
they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain
valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives
and their communities.
We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give
them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them
to be a powerful force for good.
