2011 Impact Report launch

Girlguiding has launched its latest online Impact Report. This digital scrap book highlights some of our members’ achievements in 2011 and is full of full of exciting facts and figures.

Did you know that during the last guiding year:

  • Guides sold out Wembley Arena three times for the BIG GIG pop concert
  • Girls and young women completed more than 1.8 million interest badges in everything from circus skills to survival
  • Volunteers gave up 90,454 hours of direct volunteering each week - not including time spent on planning, admin and reporting.
Chief Guide Gill Slocombe said, ‘Through our volunteers, guiding offers our young members so many amazing experiences, from the excitement of their first Brownie camp to working on development projects in countries such as The Gambia and Honduras. Through this Impact Report I aim to share just some of their achievements with you.’
