Funding for members with disabilities
Units may apply for funding on behalf of a
girl, young woman or a Leader with a disability. Districts,
Divisions or Counties may also apply for funding for projects that
make guiding more accessible.
Examples of applications which will be considered:
- to cover the cost of a ‘buddy’ for a member with a disability
attending a camp or holiday
- to purchase specialist equipment for a unit where a member has
a disability
- to cover the cost of specialist transport to a camp or
holiday
- to pay for disability awareness training for an individual or
group
- to provide training in practical skills such as manual
handling.
Applications should NOT be submitted for:
- buddies for individuals in a unit on a long-term basis
- transport to and from unit meetings
- members of the Trefoil Guild or Trefoil Guild projects.

Members with Special Needs (SNA). Information
about the form can be found here. You should be told whether
your application has been successful within one month.
