Can you sing better than the Sugababes? Could you rock the socks off McFly? And could you teach the Scissor Sisters a dance step or two? If so, show us what you’re made of by taking part in Guiding Star.

Guiding Star is an exclusive X Factor style competition for ten to 25-year-old members of Girlguiding UK. Girls can enter on their own or as a group of up to five, using their own song or one from the charts. There will be County, Regional and national finals and the winner will get to appear in front of 10,000 Guides at the BIG GIG 2007!

You can pick a song in any style you like - the competition is open to all kinds of music – and can sing without backing, with a recorded instrumental backing track or with a band. The competition is split into two age categories: ten to 16-year-olds and 16 to 25-year-olds.

Guiding Star is a fantastic chance for you to develop your musical skills, make new friends and have lots of fun along the way! So go on, give it a try – however far you get, you’ll certainly have the experience of a lifetime!
