Having a bad hair day?

Bad hair dayAre you having a bad hair day? And does the state of your barnet make you want to curl up and dye (groan!)?

If you’re going to be a Guiding Star, your hair needs to be in tip top condition. Read our helpful hints on how to look after your locks here.

  1. Make sure you have your hair trimmed regularly.

  2. Keep your hair clean and conditioned.

  3. Try not to use heated styling too often as this can cause split ends.

  4. Give you hair a last cool rinse for extra shine.

  5. Don't be too vigorous with your brushing and combing, particularly when your hair is wet.

  6. Drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit and vegetables - you are what you eat and drink.

  7. Give you hair a regular intensive conditioning treatment.

  8. The products you use can build up on your hair.  It’s a good idea to use a cleansing shampoo or even just a different brand occasionally.

  9. Colouring, bleaching and perming can damage your hair and should be used sparingly.

  10. The sun, sea water and chlorine can all harm your hair as well as your skin.  Cover up whenever you can.
