Unit Cam - 5th Ryde Guides

5th Ryde Guides are our third Unit Cam unit! They all live on the Isle of Wight. Here's what they had to tell us about themselves.

What's the best thing about being a Guide?

• Trips and games, going to camp and cooking! - Stevie and Lily

What's the best thing about boys not being around?

• Sharing girly secrets, they are not there to annoy me and I don't have to impress them and also no nasty smells! - Reiha

What's your favourite unit activity or game?

• Cat and Mouse and we all really enjoy using the parachute - Molly-jo, Alex and Charlotte.

What's the craziest or funnist thing that's happened in your unit?

• Watching a patrol perform a park bench sketch for the Performing Arts badge - Rosie and Kim

What has your unit done that you're most proud of?

• Raising money for children with Leukiaemia and helping the younger Guides to become more confident - Rosie and Kim.

What are your Leaders like?

• Kind, friendly and totally awesome! - Lyndsey, Holly and Megan.

What would your unit's theme song be and why?

• Thunder, Thunder - Anne-Marie and Rachel.

If your unit was asked to redesign the Guide uniform, what would it look like?

• More stylish! Birghter colours and jeans - Lily

Who's your Guide unit's dream date and why?

• Johnny Depp - Rosie
• Ewen McGregor - Kim

Who do you think is the most inspirational famous woman or girl and why?

• Whitney Houston, for her music - Rosie
• Olympic winners, such as Kelly Holmes - Megan
• Kylie Minogue, for getting through Cancer and still performing - Kim

What would make guiding better?

• Each unit should have a Wii! To go on more outings - Rachel and Lily

What would you like to say to all the Guides reading the website across the UK?

• The BIG GIG rocks! Be there or be triangular, who cares what friends say Guides rock - Rosie and Kim
