Community Fundraising
Anyone can support guiding by fundraising within
their local community.
You can be as creative as you like when coming up with ideas for
fundraising locally. From abseiling to zorbing, there’s something
to appeal to everyone. To get you thinking, take a look at the
list below:
- Barbecues
- Bag packing
- Car boot sales
- Dinner parties
- Five-a-side football competitions
- Head shaving sponsorships
- International nights (you can provide food, drink and
entertainment from a particular country)
- Marathons/half marathons
- Quiz nights
- Game tournaments eg Playstation, X-Box, Wii etc…
- Pub sports days
- Sponsored silences
The proceeds from your event can be donated to
Girlguiding UK or a particular area within local guiding.
