Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members were challenged through games, discussion, plays and personal challenges to learn why our shopping choices matter and why we need to buy less and better.

One Planet Challenge

A truly popular project, over 40,000 members took on the One Planet Challenge. Over 34,000 members learned of the impact of their consumer choices in the world we live in and 32,000 members went on to change their spending habits and reduce their consumption.

Members took part in a variety of challenges including designing their own bag for life, creating seasonal recipes, recycled fashion shows and even building papier-mâché polar bears!

Hannah aged 10yrs took part in this project with the 1st Wonersh and Bramley Guides. 'I learnt so much about palm oil and how it affects the orang-u-tans. I found it interesting to look at supermarkets to see what happens and what doesn’t. I think that packaging should be reduced because it's such a waste of materials. You don’t need it. you really don’t.'
