Tomorrow's Forest
How to take part?
- Check out the Woodland Trust's Tomorrow's forest website.
- Choose which of the five challenges you are going to take part in. Supporting activities are provided to help you learn more about our woodland.
- Collect tree seeds/recycle Christmas cards/plant trees/take part in springwatch or the ancient tree hunt.
How is this project unique?
The Woodland Trust have pulled together all their amazing resources which can be used by Girlguiding UK members and put them in one place so that you can use them easily.
There are also some fantastic supporting activities to help you learn more in your meeting place. Take a look at the Tomorrow’s Forest website for the full list of campsites taking part.
You can also help plant trees at one of the campsite makeovers across the Girlguiding UK sites.
Things to think about
You don’t necessarily have to think about where you can plant trees! There are lots of activities and challenges relevant to the most urban or rural Girlguiding UK member. You can choose which challenge/challenges you would like to do.
This project is perfect for all members of all ages to take part in their own way.
How will you be taking action?
Raising awareness of our woodland heritage in the UK and it’s importance to us all.
Taking direct action for woodland by collecting and growing tree seeds/planting trees/collecting important data through spring watch or the ancient tree hunt.
Raising money through organising a Christmas card collection which helps woodland trust plant more trees.
