Sing for Change
How to take part?
- Take a look at the WaterAid website and request your Sing for Change pack.
- Receive your CD and fundraising pack.
- Learn the songs and take part in the awareness raising activities.
- Host your performance to raise funds.
- Send your funds directly to WaterAid.
How is this project unique?
WaterAid have adapted this popular school project by creating six new songs and supporting activities just for Girlguiding UK: Changing the World. You can receive your unique pack directly to your door thought the WaterAid website.
Things to think about
Don’t worry if you are not musical! The songs are simple and the CD provides the tune to make it as easy as possible. There are also lots of additions to make your performance a hit. You could try making your own instruments or rehearsing a drama sketch.
Try making your performance water themed. You could have a sponsored swim and sing or hold your show at the local pond! It’s time to get creative!
How will you be taking action?
Raising awareness of water poverty around the world how 5,000 children die every day from disease caused by water poverty.
Raising money to take people in Nepal out of water poverty where 73 per cent of the population does not have access to a toilet. Just £15 changes one person’s life.
