  4. Take action.

How is this project unique?

This project has been written by UNICEF for members of Girlguiding UK in conjunction with WAGGGS. It features unique case studies of how other Girl Guides and Girl Scouts are changing the world by raising awareness of HIV and AIDS around the world.

Things to think about

This is a challenging pack which addresses the causes and consequences of HIV and AIDS.

Think about all your networks and how you spread UNICEF’s message.

This project suggests using social networking sites so be sure you are using them safely.

You can choose which activity pack is most appropriate for your group. Trefoil Guild members may wish to look at the older girls pack when considering adapting this project.

How will you be taking action?

Raising awareness of HIV and AIDS issues and its impact on the human rights of children

Taking direct action by raising awareness to make a difference all over the world.

Raising money for UNICEF to provide items to aid the global fight against HIV and AIDS e.g. medicines for children and testing kits.
