Help

If I have trouble downloading the pack what should I do?

If you have any difficulty downloading the pack please email youthvoice@unicef.org.uk. We can then email you a copy.

HIV and AIDS can be a sensitive subject, are the packs suitable for my group?

Yes. The packs have been developed to be entirely suitable for the proposed age ranges. The young pack has been designed for Brownies and younger Guides while the older pack has been developed for older Guides and Senior Section members. You might want to let the parents/guardians of the girls in your group know that you’ll be running sessions on HIV and AIDS. You could even share the pack with parents so they can see for themselves that all the information is age-appropriate.

I don’t think my group knows a huge amount about HIV and AIDS. Can we get started with this pack?

Yes. This pack is designed to help you get started whatever your level of knowledge. But if you feel the group first needs some more basic information, download the Brownie and younger Guide pack for some great introductory and fun activities. One Leader who tested some of the activities in this pack with her Ranger unit had this advice, 'Do it! Don’t be scared by the topic or a lack of your own knowledge – you can learn together.'

Where can I find out about the HIV and AIDS projects and materials my group can raise funds for?

UNICEF UK’s Inspired Gifts website provides you with a selection of HIV and AIDS related projects and materials to raise funds for.
