- > Live Love Let go |
Members were encouraged to make contact with a local hospice and take part in a project. It could be anything that would benefit the hospice from helping in the garden, to writing poems.
Live, Love, Let go
Live, Love, Let Go was an immediate success with 19,003 members making contact with their local hospices across the UK. Members completed 817 projects including groups raising awareness in the local community for their hospices and taking direct action such as painting pictures for the children room. Most importantly, 15,953 members learned of the importance of their local hospice in their community. In total members have raised over £118,000 for local hospices around the UK.
David Praill Chief Executive of Help the Hospices wrote to us to say 'We are thrilled that Girlguiding UK member are supporting the hospice movement through their Changing the World programme this year and it has been wonderful to hear about the great work that the girls and their local hospices are achieving together. We are enormously grateful for your support and very much hope that the relationship currently being built between hospices and the Girlguiding UK members will continue in the future.'
