Members were challenged to shout out, make as much noise as possible and use the power of their voices to spread the message that all girls have a right to education.
If you've got a voice - use it!
11,844 members took part in the If you've got a voice - use it!, raising over £73,131 to support girls to go to school in Africa. This will change the lives of 2,006 girls by providing items such as school uniforms, books and shoes. In addition to raising money, girls have been using their voices to shout out about girls' education in Africa. These groups shouted out to another 6,370 people about the injustices girls face in education, and the work of Camfed.
The 6th South and Upper Norwood Rainbows took part in If you've got a voice - use it! and had fun playing games and thinking about what they love about school. They displayed their results on their notice board and held a coffee morning, raising £70. Ella, aged six, said about the girls they were helping, 'It will change their lives and make them happy'.
