How to take part?
Ubuntu: I am because you are - is all about setting up a reading tent!
- Download the Introduction and Activities pack to find out about reading tents and how you can set one up.
- Pick and download one of the four country packs to theme your reading tent.
- Take part in activities in your meeting place to prepare for your reading tent.
- Host a reading tent and raise vital funds to send books to Africa.

This novel project has been designed and specifically written for Girlguiding UK’s members. It is straight forward, simple and perfect for all ages.

This project is perfect for members of all ages to share their passion for reading in a fun and novel way. Try combining it with other programme badges.

In 2000 Girlguiding UK completed a hugely successful book collection with Book Aid. This project does not involve collecting books to send to Book Aid.
