The Asthma Trigger Happy Project challenged members to understand the condition, learn life saving ways to help someone having an asthma attack and raise funds.
Asthma Trigger Happy Project
22,131 members completed the Asthma Trigger Happy project, raising over £76,300. This money is being used to send 120 children and young people with severe asthma on a Kick Asthma Holiday designed to enable them to manage their condition more easily. The holidays also give the children a safe space to try adventurous activities with other children with severe asthma.
As well as raising this amazing amount of money, 17,084 girls have learned how to deal with an asthma attack emergency and 16,575 girls raised awareness in their local community about asthma and the work of Asthma UK.
The 1st Mytholmroyd Rainbows raised awareness of Asthma in their local community by holding a play of the Asthma UK’s adapted Mr Wolf Story! whilst their Leaders provided refreshments. What’s more the Rainbows took direct action and learnt the first aid skills to deal with an asthma attack.
You can still download the Trigger Happy Activity pack from the Asthma UK information page.
