Winners of the NDCS Listening bus design

We're delighted to announce that the winners of the NDCS Listening bus design are the 70th St Williams Rainbows from Sheffield. Their winning design will feature on the Listening Bus from 2010.

'I told the Rainbows that they had won the competition and they were all excited!' said unit Leader Marianne Beatson. 'They're very much looking forward to the Listening Bus coming to Sheffield!'

NDCS's Listening Bus travels around the UK, helping deaf children to test out the latest equipment and enabling hearing children to learn more about deafness. It has been hugely popular and since then has travelled approximately 160,000 miles and hosted over 56,000 visitors.

How we helped the Listening bus

Girlguiding UK members during the Changing the World project raised £67,000 which will fund the listening Bus for 312 days – almost one full year! The current NDCS Listening Bus is travelling around the country now!

Visit the NDCS website to see when the bus is going to be near you and to book a free visit so you can see how fantastic it is for yourself! We will do our best to visit you, but we cannot guarantee that the bus will be able to visit all requested venues.
