Community action
Community action is a great way for Girlguiding UK members to carry out their Promise – to be kind and helpful, do good turns and be ready to help others.
Many units carry out community action regularly as part of their programme. If your group finds community action hard to plan and organise but would like to, Girlguiding UK: Changing the world is just for you!
Community action provides guiding with an opportunity to be visible in the community. By providing positive images of guiding today we also dispel the stereotypes of previous generations.
Community action made easy
Girlguiding UK: Changing the World is a great way to get guiding groups more involved with their local community. Each of our 19 partners has developed an activity pack for members to work through.
Most of the activities are easily adapted so that everyone can take part. We want everyone, from the youngest Rainbow to the oldest Trefoil Guild member, to feel able to take part.
