Exclusive interview with star Polly Pocket

1. So Polly, how did you enjoy working on this film?
Making PollyWorld has been something I’ve wanted to do for ages. It’s such a cool story and when I found out it would feature my band Polly and the Pockets, I was totally stoked! The band’s been taking time just to chill out and write songs so we were really happy with our stuff and looking forward to a fabulous new adventure.

2. What's PollyWorld all about?
Totally rockin’ music, funky fashions, crazy rides and the coolest most fabulicious theme park ever, PollyWorld! You can meet my friends Lila, Crissy, Lea and Shani and get wrapped in a fantabulous adventure with loads of surprises along the way including totally rad river races, a Hawaiian hula dance-off, grooving retro roller disco and fireworks – it totally rocks!

3. So you and the Pockets get to perform your music in this movie?
Yes and it was totally fab. We’ve worked so hard on our new songs and getting the chance to perform in front of a live crowd was immense. We were really nervous, but we’re such close friends that we managed to calm each other down. When we went out there, we got such a cool buzz and I think we gave the performance of our lives! What girl doesn’t enjoy achieving one of her life-long dreams?!

4. What advice would you give to budding movie or pop stars out there?
Just to follow your dreams and never give up. I’ve been so lucky because I have such great friends who, while we are all very different, really care about and support each other. If you love doing something, you should keep going for it because one day your dreams could come true.

5. What’s next for Polly Pocket?
Well the movie is out on 13 November so I’ll be going to lots of exciting premieres all over the world. After that, you’ll have to watch this space. But let’s just say, I have definitely got the movie bug!
