Isabella Stocchetti was
one of our Guiding Star winners. She came first in the
ten to 14 category in Girlguiding UK's very own X-factor
style competition. She won the opportunity to perform in
front of thousands of Guides at the BIG GIG 2007.

You performed in front of
24,000 at the BIG GIG 2007. How did it feel to be in the
same line-up as McFly and Natasha Bedingfield?
Incredible! Everyone was screaming
and enjoying it and that’s what it’s all about. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

What song did you sing?
I sang Delta Goodrem’s Together we
are one. The lyrics ‘find your guiding inspiration’ fit the situation well. It shows people that you can achieve whatever you want if you believe in yourself.

Was singing at the BIG GIG
2007 as you imagined?
When I got to the M.E.N. Arena, it was exactly how I had pictured it. That was really weird.

What have you gained from taking part
in Guiding Star?
So much experience. I’ve been introduced to new vocal coaches and choreographers. It’s really boosted my confidence because it was a bit daunting when I won. But the Guiding Star team have been amazing. It’s been an incredible journey. |

What do you want to do in five years?
I would love to continue singing, but it's a very hard industry. I’m very happy with what I’ve done so far. |

Who inspires you?
Delta Goodrem, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston.
I like Taylor Swift too!

If you could achieve any Brownie badge, even one that doesn’t exist, what would it be?
Song writing. Definitely. |

Girlguiding UK gives girls a chance to should out about important issues. What issues would you most like to shout out about?
War. Poverty. That’s a really hard question. There are so many. |
