It was Quentin Blake's eye-catching drawings that made me want to open this big book of poetry - and I am glad I did! The book comes with a CD containing audio of Michael Rosen reading the poems, which is great for those of you who aren't so keen on reading. Some of the poems are very crazy. My favourite is called Shoes.

We had to look at this book at school. I'm not a big fan of poetry but I thought that some of these poems were funny. The pictures were really funny as well and made the poems more real.

Mustard,
Custard, Grumble Belly and Gravy was quite

A very
good book, congratulations to Michael Rosen. I
really liked the poems because some were humorous
and he uses excellent words. I do not have a
favourite because they are all so good! I liked
the illustrations because they made me feel like I
was there in the poem and they made me laugh.
Congratulations you have written loads of fabulous
books!

I think that this book is great and some of my friends like poems and
they like the pictures the best. I like them too because
they make me laugh and the pictures make my friends go
bonkers. I always have to run away when
they have read that book. I like that book. I really do like that book of poems and large pictures.

I found it very
interesting, funny and, of course, picked it up by looking at the bright
cover. I would never start reading a book without reading what it said on the back.
Quentin Blake's illustrations are amazing
especially the front cover of this book.
The poems were really good.

I love
Mustard, Custard, Grumble Belly and Gravy because I got the
CD and it sounds great.
At the theatre you can get Michael Rosen to sign the book but it was an awful long line.
But it was worth it. Michael Rosen wrote to me on the book -
Hello Amy, Michael Rosen was here.
