Welcome to
the Brownie book club.
Brownies are already part of
this special club. Each month, we review a
book. Sometimes they are new books and
sometimes they are old classics that you'll
find in your school library.
Malory Towers
by Enid Blyton.
Malory
Towers tells the story of Darrell Rivers, a
young girl who starts attending a boarding
school in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
Darrell faces a lot of challenges as she
starts this new school - will she find her
way around? And more
importantly, will she ever make friends?
Have you
read Malory Towers?
Email the Brownie Web Team with your
book review and you could see it published

I was so happy that lots of you asked me to review Malory Towers.
I loved the Malory Towers books when I
was a Brownie. I would read them over
and over again and never got bored! If you love reading these books, then I'd recommend the St Clare's books as well. They are by Enid Blyton and follow the boarding school lives of the O'Sullivan twins.

My mum used to read Malory Towers when she was younger so she told me that I should read them as I would like them a lot and I did. My favourite person was Alicia because my cousin is called Alicia and she is just like her!

I read this book for the first time when I was in year 2. I really enjoyed it and read it again several times. My favourite character is Sally because of the way she acts and the ideas she comes up with.

My mum recommended Malory Towers and said 'it was brilliant'.
At first I wasn't too keen but when I started it, it was really good and I just
couldn't stop reading it!
My favourite character was Alicia because she thinks of really funny tricks to play on Mam'zelle.
I am now a really big fan of Malory Towers. It is so realistic, I felt I was actually there with Darrell trying to make Mary
Lou be more confident in herself.
Enid Blyton is a real star!

I love the book Malory Towers. It is such a brill book, if you're a Brownie on your own or reading it in your pack you will love it.
So get your skates on and pop down to your local bookshop to buy this fantastic book.
You will love it 'cause I'm a bookworm and ask anyone you like
'cause I don't just read any old thing you fling at me.

I absolutely love this book! I have suggested it to loads of people and some like it and some people say it's silly! I have read it at least six times! My favourite
character is Darrell, because she is really friendly, and
I would like to be friends with her! I also like her because she is very like me! I also like Alicia because she plays really funny tricks on Mam'zelle! I have read all of
the six Malory Towers books loads. I give it the highest score you can possibly get!

It was really cool. I enjoyed reading it.
I am going to read the next book. I wish I could stay at Malory Towers!
I liked it when Alicia pretends to be deaf. My favourite character is Gwendoline because I like it when she makes herself do silly things!
