1.   Hold the Brownie First aid badge.

2.  Do each of the following

**Use a resuscitation manikin to show how to give chest compressions followed by rescue breaths.
**Know when you might need to do this and how to carry it out safely.

3.   Discuss with the tester:

**what shock is
**why someone who has had a serious accident may suffer shock
**how to recognise shock
**why it is important to deal with shock quickly.
