Glenbrook Outdoor Activities Centre is located in the beautiful
Derbyshire Peak District between the villages of Hope and
Hathersage. It is an ideal base for Brownie, Guide or Senior
Section holidays and camps, and has Leader weekends and trainings
throughout the year.
Glenbrook is primarily used by members of Girlguiding UK but
extends to include Scouting, mid-week bookings from schools, those
doing the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the Prince's Trust, to name
but a few.
The centre offers a range of self-catering residential indoor
accommodation for parties ranging in size between ten and 40
people. Rooms are comfortable and centrally heated. There are
places for 30 in the main house, 35 in Derwent, four in the Holiday
Flat and ten in Peveril Flat. All beds are double bunks.
Outside there are three camping fields, accommodating up to 100
campers in six designated camping areas, a shower/toilet block and
a solid wet-weather shelter on one of the sites.
We also welcome day visitors to our site, dependent upon
availability.
Indoor accommodation costs from £7.50 per person per night and
camping from £4 per person per night.
