14th World Scout Moot 2013
How about spending your summer in Canada while meeting
thousands of Guides and Scouts from across the world? The 14th
World Scouut Moot takes place in August 2013, when 5,000 young
adults aged 18 to 25 will converge on Awacamenj Mino in Canada for
11 days of outdoor adventure and expedition challenges in
international patrols.
The UK Scout and Guide contingent will
enjoy a pre-Moot event in Ottawa and can chose from a range of
post-Moot opportunities. The event promises to be a
once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore this great country and make
friends from around the globe!
If you’ve already been on a World Jamboree, or
other international opportunity then you’ll know just how much an
international Scout and Guide event like this has to offer!
Participants can experience high-adrenalin activities, sharing
cultures, and joining in with local communities.
The Moot will include choosing and designing an expedition
challenge before it starts based on four themes, and
creating personal objectives and charting the path you have to take
to live the Canadian experience!
When: 8 - 18 August 2013.
Who can go?
If you were born between 9 August 1987 and 8
August 1995 then you are the right age to be a participant on the
Moot. Opportunities are available to those, who were born
before 9 August 1987, who wish to attend the event as a member
of the International Service Team (IST).
