Waddow Summer Spectacular
Saturday 31 July
So far, summer spectacular has been great. Today, we did lots of
exciting activities, such as the nightline. Here, we did an
obstacle course, whilst blindfolded! We got very muddy and wet,
because our instructor poured water down our backs and in our
wellies. She said it was the squirrels peeing on us. Then we did
the tree climb – it’s like a climbing wall, except the wall is a
tree, a 60ft high tree in fact. If you completed it in 100 seconds
or less, you got a rubber ducky. Squirt one of the Leaders was like
a monkey. She got up the tree so fast; she did it in 55 seconds.
After lunch, we went orienteering. It was fun, trying to find all
the letters. The last activity of the day was the crate challenge,
which was really entertaining. The best part was jumping off and
kicking the crates down at the end. Síne, got 17 crates, the record
of the camp so far. The first day has been great, and we cant wait
for the rest of the week.
